Lavender Fields Eau De Parfum

Some people stop to smell the flowers. Others are apparently sent into the field with a questionnaire.

LAVENDER FIELDS opens with bright bergamot and orange drifting over a wide sweep of aromatic lavender. Gardenia blooms alongside it, creamy and lush with a naturally peachy facet that gives the opening an unexpectedly juicy sweetness.

As the fragrance warms, coconut and vanilla soften the florals into something smooth and almost idyllic. Amber begins glowing underneath, while sandalwood gives the drydown a warm, polished depth that lingers close to the skin.

It is, ostensibly, a very peaceful field.

Curiously, however, the occasional visitor seems to arrive less interested in the flowers than in conducting a tiny investigation. They ask peculiar questions. They make oddly specific observations. The gardener, meanwhile, has long since stopped correcting visitors who arrive determined to see what they came looking for. If they need foolishness, weakness, or inadequacy badly enough, they are perfectly welcome to find it. The gardener simply holds up the mirror and lets everyone admire whatever they brought with them.

It saves an extraordinary amount of time.

Unfortunately, the lavender remains lavender.

The gardenia continues blooming.

And the gardener eventually realizes that when people repeatedly travel all the way across town hoping to discover that someone else has less, they have already revealed rather a lot about who believes they have less.
